South Calgary Junior Squash Program

About Us

Inspired by our parents, Mick and Judy Grigg, who ran a volunteer junior squash program out of the Heritage Squash Club (30 years ago!), our junior squash program took off 20 years ago! Matt and Leona have been running the program since 2003. While Kyla joined in the past few years. We all love introducing kids to the game, supporting our more advanced players and building our community.

Our coaches

  • Leona Faller (Grigg)

  • Matt Grigg

  • Kyla Workman (Grigg)

Our values

Our junior squash program is centered around creating a positive, fun, and accessible environment where every child can explore the sport at their own pace. We prioritize building confidence, fostering a love for the game, and ensuring all kids feel welcomed and supported, with the opportunity to enjoy squash as a lifelong sport—without pressure to compete unless they choose to.
